Team Limerick Clean-Up 2025 – Rain or Shine!

A big thank you to the 7 legends who braved the wet weather this morning for Team Limerick Clean-Up in Gurteen Gardens and Southville Gardens. While it turned out the estate was already looking pretty spotless (well done to everyone for keeping it that way!), we rolled up our sleeves and got stuck in anyway – clearing moss, tidying up the paths, sweeping the roads, and giving the place that little extra TLC.

Even with the rain, there was great community spirit, teamwork, laughs, and a strong coffee waiting at the end!

Thanks to everyone involved!

Great to see that the Limerick Post Newspaper has picked up my request for the return of the Street Ambassador Programme.

https://www.limerickpost.ie/2024/06/02/local-election-candidate-calls-for-council-to-reinstate-street-ambassadors-programme/

Limerick has seen a huge transformation in the last 20 years, with the advent of the Three Bridges Walk, the new International Rugby Experience, and numerous bars and restaurants that have joined the offering to citizens and tourists alike.

There is a genuine need for new marketing efforts to promote Limerick, especially during the Thomond Park Stadium concerts with Snow Patrol, Paolo Nutini, and Liam Gallagher in July, which are expected to attract significant numbers of visitors to the city.

The return of Street Ambassadors could be a game-changer for Limerick, providing not only a warm welcome to visitors but also contributing to the city’s tourism and economic growth.

🌟 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞! 🌟

What an incredible day spent canvassing in our wonderful neighborhood for the local elections! The reception we received was as warm as the day itself.

🚶‍♂️ We certainly got our steps up as we made our way through:

✅Edward Street
✅Tait Court
✅Quinns Cottages
✅St. Joseph's Street
✅Vizes Court
✅Church Road
✅The Forge
✅Ballycummin Road
✅Willow Park
✅Friarstown
✅Blackthorns

Each area brimming with community spirit and invaluable conversations about our love for Limerick. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to chat with us and share their thoughts!

Let's keep the momentum going! 💪✨
