On this evening’s Nationwide, the team explores a unique artistic space in the heart of Dublin and visits a family run business in County Limerick.
Dublin’s St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre is home to the Green Gallery, an unexpected but thriving artistic hub located in a corridor on its top floor, which is now celebrating 30 years in operation. Reporter John Kilraine recently visited there.
Reporter Reem El-Hassany visits Dromcolliher in County Limerick, where a family-run porcelain business, Irish Dresden, has been making delicate handmade figurines for over 60 years. After nearly closing, the company is now back, with fresh ideas, support from the next generation, and help from local artists.

We were delighted to welcome RTE's Nationwide to Dromcolliher this week - Presenter Reem and cameraman Des visited to learn all about the history and craftmanship that goes into making Irish Dresden. We can't wait to see the final result airing in a few month's time!

Today, we are very sad to hear of the passing of former U.S. President, Jimmy Carter. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Carter family. In 1977, First Lady Rosalynn Carter was presented with our 'Reading the Family Bible' piece which is proudly on display in the Carter Presidential Library, Atlanta, Georgia.
