⚠️🚨 WE’RE REDUCING OUR SERVICES 🚨⚠️

I’ve been very quiet on social media over the last year or so as there’s been quite a bit going on and a lot to reshuffle.

During one of the many lockdowns over the last two years, I was unfortunately diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, EDS for short. EDS is a connective tissue disorder which affects the body as a whole, with issues including digestive issues, full body aches and pains, joint dislocations and much more.

For years I have been having issues that began to worsen over the course of the pandemic (not specifically Covid related), meaning it has become increasingly difficult to carry heavy gear such as cameras, rigs and gimbals on a continuous basis.

Because of this I have decided to reduce my services, especially those that are quite physically taxing for me, and focus more on lighter photography and media work that can be done remotely.

From next week on, I will no longer be taking on any new videography clients. I will also be reducing my photography services and will now only be providing three specific types of photography.

The services I am now available for are as follows:

With all this talk recently about vaccines and vaccine passes, I wanted to post this just to make things very clear about where I and Media Your Way as a business, stand on such matters.

When I first started this business, a core reason was because I wanted to use the skills I had to help people in whatever way I could. This was extended to everyone who wished to avail of my services. Not just white people, not just straight people, not just rich people, not just skinny people and not just any other type of people in which the media and society may sometimes deem to be the “superior people”.

For this reason, I would never even dream of only offering my services to just vaccinated people. It none of my, nor anyone else’s business, what your medical history is, nor what your vaccination status is or the reasons why it is that way.

Media Your Way is all about inclusion and equality across the board. My job is to provide a service. That service is digital content creation. Anything outside of this I don’t need to know.

Everyone will have different opinions on this and they are all completely valid, I just want to make this as fair to everyone as I can.

The Stolen Meringue; A Photo Story 📸

I’ve been so MIA from social media lately as I’ve been having a bit of a creative block the last few months. However last night, I just had the urge to make some meringues and set up a food photography shoot ✨

There was a little mouse around somewhere that kept stealing and eating my props, so I had to shoot these as quick as I could before they were all stolen 😅

SHOT SETUP:
These are the overhead shots that I captured. I really wanted a contrasting feel to these so decided to go with dark colours to complement the creamy colour of the meringues. I covered my coffee table with a black backdrop, placed the meringues in a dark bowl, laid some out on the backdrop and sprinkled icing sugar over it for decoration. I also added some forks and made sure to create some fork outlines with the icing sugar for some creativity.

To capture the photos, I stood on top of a set of small steps. I used one lighted soft box for the lighting with the rest of the room in complete darkness.

EDIT:
Luckily, there was not much left to do for the edits. I brightened up the whites, darkened the blacks, added some texture and did a small bit of colour correction before adding a slight vignette.
