It has been over a month since we last posted on Facebook... 😳 Don't do the same!

In digital marketing, consistency is the key that makes your ideal customers remember you. When you fall off the face of the planet (like we recently did!), they will inevitably move on.

Even when you're too busy, make time to stay in touch online. A few tips:

- Share relevant posts by other pages
- Be inspired by your main content themes and don't reinvent the wheel
- Repurpose past content (e.g. share blog posts on social media, compile related social media posts into blog posts)
- Repurpose images on social media with new captions that reflect your customers' changing environment

We're going to implement these tips moving forward too! There's a lot in the works in the background and we can't let that impact our social media presence anymore. But, as they say, "the shoemaker's children always go barefoot!"

Your customers care about going green. So should you.

Environmental sustainability is getting more and more important. More people are making environmentally-friendly decisions. Your customers are too. And they expect companies to make sustainable decisions as well.

To convince these customers, you have to tell AND show them that you care about the environment:

- Make active efforts to reduce your carbon footprint. Think of making recyclable products, getting rid of plastic packaging, or getting a green energy contract

- Tell your customers about your efforts on your website and on social media.

Warning: When you communicate about environmental sustainability, your words need to be sincere and your actions need to be in line with your words.

Still have a blurry picture of your customer’s needs, desires and behaviours? Time to create a customer persona!

Creating a customer persona basically means creating a semi-fictional person that represents your customers. It includes their:

- Needs
- Behaviours (inc. where they hang out and how they purchase)
- Interests

A customer persona gives you clarity around who your target audience is and can be used to make it easier to keep your target audience in mind.

Instead of thinking about the endless number of possible customers, you can just focus on the customer persona when:

- Making marketing decisions
- Writing content
- Optimising sales funnel

You can have your own social media platform!

When we think about social media, we think of platforms like TikTok and Facebook. But there are lots of smaller platforms on which you can be social too. Think of forums and group chats.

For absolute control, you can even add a forum or chat function to your website or mobile app! This will give your customers the opportunity to:

- Ask questions about your products and services
- Tell other people why they should buy from and collaborate with you
- Talk to other people about the uses and benefits of your products and services

We're back after a couple of weeks away from social media...

So much has happened in the meantime. It is sometimes difficult to find our purpose online, especially with so much going on that we can't change.

Our approach coming back is to do what we have set out to do since the beginning of this journey:

1) To share knowledge to help you take control of your online presence.
2) To promote our services so that better support you in doing just that!

Our hope with our posts is always to inspire and educate. We know social media can be a safe place to escape challenges in our worlds and we want to contribute to that with lighthearted yet useful posts.

Lots of users are visiting your social media profile every day. Why not make use of it? 👀

On platforms like Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, you can add a link to your personal bio. When you do so, you can send your followers to other webpages, like:

- Your website’s homepage
- Other social media profiles
- A product page
- Your podcast

Keep in mind: You can only add one link to your bio. But there are three ways to make the most out of your bio link:

1. Change your link from time to time
2. Create a custom landing page on your own website, where you add links to all important pages
3. Get ‘link in bio’-tools like SproutLink, Linktree, Feedlink and Lnk.Bio

Want to get discovered on Google? Then start using Google My Business (now called Google Business Profile)!

With a Google Business Profile, you appear on a premium spot in Google results pages. You can also add custom information to that result, including:

- Company’s address
- Opening hours
- Pictures of your products
- Answers to customer reviews

And a big plus: if your business has a physical location and a Google Business Profile, it will be shown on Google Maps!

Give enough attention to your Profile and your customers will find you more easily. So give it a shot!
