The Middle Chapel Cootehill celebrates its bicentenary 1824-2024 with a celebration Mass on Sunday 26th May at 12 .30pm. Patrick Cassidy Chairperson of Bicentenary Committee talks about the history of the Middle Chapel. Patrick has written a short history in book form and this will be launched on Sunday. Àine Duffy, spoke to Breen McDonald a life long parishioner talks about his memories of coming to Middle Chapel. Àine also spoke to Karen Callaghan Secretary of Bicentenary Committee who is looking forward to Sunday's special Mass, a culmination of two years hard work at the heart of Drumgoon Parish. The Bumblebee1000 Nort West Adventure is a supercar oriented road trip from Barberstown House to Donegal. Todays event features a fuel stop at Ruddens Service Station, Railway Road, Cavan where Áine met up with Pauric Rudden, Proprietor of Rudden's Costcutter Service Station, Bob Flavin, Organising Committee member, Graham Kennedy, Paul Gilmartin and Rory Buchanan, some of the drivers who took part in the Bumblebee 1000 North West Adventure. The charity benefiting from today's event is the Little Blue Heroes Foundation who are a not-for-profit charity made up of Garda members/staff, retired Garda members, their families, friends and civic minded people from communities
