Former Irish President and UN Human Righrs Commissioner Mary Robinson says the Israeli government must let the Madleen boat reach Gaza.

“Let it land in peace… Efforts to bring food, medicine, and solidarity to a starving civilian population must be protected, not criminalised.”

The vessel, with a crew including has called for international support - and is within 150 nautical miles of Gaza.

The Israeli government says it will not allow “anyone” to break the blockade of Gaza.
