We're devastated today by the news of the death of journalist and presenter Seán Rocks. Sean was a beloved presence on the airwaves, both on RTÉ Radio One and RTÉ lyric fm, the two stations that we listen to everyday here. He was also incredibly generous to us last year, lending his support to Verdigris with a thoughtful review and a wonderful interview with director Patricia Kelly on Arena. "It was such a pleasure having such a warm, engaged chat with him in his studio last year," Patricia said of her interview with Seán. "He made me feel very welcome and I really appreciated his understanding of the challenges of indie filmmaking."
RIP Seán, you will definitely be missed.

Delighted to see that TU Dublin / OT Baile Átha Cliath are once again running 'Self-Employment for Persons with Disabilities', their course for disabled people looking to start their own business. This was for an invaluable course for us when we did in in 2022, creatiing new opportunities and connections. This year it also invites entrepreneurs in Northern Ireland to attend.
The course will start on September 17th and will happen online on Wednesdays for 12 weeks. Generously supported by AIB again, the course will be free-of-charge for all successful applicants. The deadline is July 31st 2025.
