86Fest 2025 – Debrief

It’s been a few weeks since the legendary 86Fest, and I’m still slowly making my way through the endless sea of shots I captured on the day. Looking back on the event, I have to say it was by far one of the best track days of the year – at least for me. The atmosphere was so chilled and relaxed.

It’s incredible to see the love for these classic Toyotas and the community that surrounds them. Having so many Toyotas in one place here in Ireland was just insane.

A huge thank you to all the organisers who put this special day together. I’ll do my best to attend every year to show my support – I never want this to end. Truly amazing.

Seeing the two special guests from Japan and how naturally they fitted into the scene was something special. I’m glad I was able to capture a few moments of them enjoying themselves. Thank you for coming all the way from across the world.

Project Ascona 📸

Had a fun, quick photo shoot with John recently up in the local hills with his lovely old Opel Ascona. This thing is definitely a standout on Irish roads, as you don’t see many of them around. It’s not perfect in every detail, but that doesn’t matter—once you sit in and run through those 4 gears on the country roads, you realise it doesn’t need much more than that for what it is.

John wanted a few photos for the memories, as he’s planning to tidy it up over time and maybe add a few more bits to it. As a bonus, we also got to snap a couple of photos with his dad’s one at the end.

Great to see and photograph something different. I think it deserves a share.

Lowrider Honda Drop!
I met up with Tony a few weeks ago to shoot his absolute gem of a Honda. It’s different in so many ways, and the way he’s managed to incorporate the lowrider style into it is truly amazing. No fancy locations were needed for this one—just pure shed shots to showcase this incredible machine. It was a pleasure spending the day with Tony and learning more about his build, and we may even have a YouTube video coming soon to show it off. For now, enjoy the photos!
