Not every shoot happens in a perfectly styled studio. Sometimes we only have a small space to film in or have to work with troublesome lighting, generally with little time to spare. We’ll always try to make the most of the space we have, but it’s good to know that with the right tools, having a less than ideal setting doesn’t have to mean compromising on quality.

⚡⚡ This past year we've been exploring smart ways to elevate our clients’ content using AI. In this clip, we filmed a great interview in a less-than-great setting and then used AI to transform the final scene.

We’re not about cutting corners, more using tech to make the most of a shoot. Whether it’s improving backgrounds, enhancing lighting, or smoothing out distractions, AI is now part of the toolkit we use to deliver work that looks great. 🎬🎬

As Blat always says (often, on repeat) “AI won’t replace people, people using AI will” and admittedly it’s hard to argue with him on this one!

One of our favourite techniques to use when filming interviews is the camera slider. It’s one of those subtle tricks of the trade that makes a huge difference to the final product. What looks like a relatively simple camera movement can add another dimension to any kind of content. We love using it for testimonials and interviews as it gives things a much more cinematic feel - great for when you’re telling personal stories!!

We’ve been having A LOT of fun with VR lately. Virtual Reality is a great way to push boundaries when it comes to storytelling and with so many great stories to tell, it’s perfect for our clients. Use it to give customers a 360 experience of your facilities, take them on the journey of your brand’s history, or provide an immersive product experience. When you hear the words "video production", you probably think of cameras and being on set, but before filming there is a whole world planning that has taken place, known as pre-production. So what really is involved in pre-production and why is it so important?

Pre-production involves goal setting, audience research, scriptwriting, storyboarding and logistics like securing locations, cast and specialist resources. Doing all of this in plenty of time ensures everything is organised, minimising costly surprises and keeping the project on track. A solid pre-production plan has a knock-on effect on both production (filming) and post-production (editing), meaning that it’s easier to stay within budget (and we all know how important that is!).
