Delighted that my book ‘1588, the Spanish Armada and the 24 Ships lost on Irish Shores’ also gets a mention in the IT article.

Of the 1,600 Spanish imprisoned in Ireland after the Armada, 1,100 were executed, says a Spanish author

Just an update to my friends, as you may be puzzled when you see various books emerging. I had been pretty quiet over the last year year, the result is that I have two books due next month.
One is 'The Emergency in Colour', the third in the series co-authored with John O'Byrne for Gill Books (the first was 'The Irish Civil War in Colour'). it's a privilege to be working with John, master of colourising and with a deep knowledge of military history.

The second book is the fruit of six years of work, and visits to places ranging from the northern tip of Ireland (Kinnagoe Bay) all the way down to the southern tip of Spain (Sanlucar de Barrameda), and many places in between. It had the benefit of combining my interest in Irish History with Spanish history (and a a good deal of general European sixteenth century history thrown in as well). So the '1588, the Spanish Armada and the 24 ships Lost on Ireland's Shores' by Andalus Press, tells the story of the Armada from A to Z, but with a lot of detail on the happenings in Ireland.
