⚡ ESB Confirms Power Restoration Timeline After Storm Amy ⚡

Thousands remain without electricity following Storm Amy. 🌬️🍃 Over the weekend, numerous trees fell due to strong winds, causing widespread damage.

🔧 ESB Networks crews are continuing to work in challenging conditions to repair the damage. They have confirmed that:

Some customers in the worst-affected areas may remain without power into early next week ⏳

The vast majority of customers are expected to have power restored by Sunday evening ✅

Ireland’s first named storm of the winter season caused significant faults, but crews are working tirelessly to get everyone back online. 💡💪

🌬️ This outage is directly linked to Storm Amy which continues to cause widespread disruption with strong winds and fallen trees.

Reports of Heavy Traffic from Boyle Road to Roscommon Town N61

There are reports this morning of a major incident in the Grangemore area of Boyle involving a truck. Numerous emergency vehicles are on scene.

In a statement issued to Roscommon Safety Alerts , the Garda Press Office said: "Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic incident at Grange More, Boyle, Co Roscommon this morning, 4th June, 2025. As this incident is ongoing, no further information is available at this time".

☔️ A band of rain is pushing in from the west this morning!

This will bring rain to many areas with amounts fairly low.

The north west could see up to 20mm in 24 hours whereas many areas in the south and south east seeing about 1mm.
