The game against St Clare’s Manorhamilton finished 4-4 after extra time with Glenamaddy CS winning 7-6 on penalties following a dramatic shootout. Well done to all involved.

John Kiely's passion for hurling was pretty evident when speaking to TG4 after Limerick cantered to a win over archrivals Cork in the Munster Hurling League.

There were over 2,000 people in the Gaelic Grounds to watch Limerick win 1-28 to 0-16 in pretty decent conditions.

For the first week of January, it was a great day for hurling people with the Harty Cup quarterfinals on in the afternoon plus two Fitzgibbon Cup games.

With both UL and Mary I in action today, Kiely ended up fielding the likes of Cian Lynch, Gearoid Hegarty, Sean Finn and Mikey Casey in preseason action tonight.

It only whets our appetite for the League, which throws in in less than 3 weeks.
