BACK AFTER 4 YEARS: Skerries 100 marks 80 years since first event in 1946
The sound and colour of the Skerries 100 returns this summer, with the Country Crest-sponsored road race confirmed for Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5, and the Classic Bikes run through Skerries on Friday, July 3.
Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club has announced that one of Ireland’s great road racing fixtures will be back in 2026, marking 80 years since the event was first held in 1946.
For Skerries, it means the return of a spectacle that has long been stitched into the summer calendar: racing bikes tearing around the famous 2.9-mile course, spectators lining familiar roads, volunteers in high-vis doing quiet heroic work, and course residents once again playing their part in making the weekend possible.
