Southern Star is a local media company which comprises a weekly newspaper with c50,000 readers and covers West Cork all the way from Cork city through to the Beara peninsula (and everywhere in between) and the region’s biggest digital audience across our website and social media presence.

We connect hundreds of local businesses/advertisiers every year to connect with our huge audience and increase enquiries, footfall and sales. In addition Southern Star media publishes over 25 magazines each year and we also have a successful marketing services arm called Star Creative providing design, digital and print solutions to local businesses .

Established in 1889, we’re a locally owned company, our staff are all local and we’re proud to serve our local West Cork communities by producing the most informative, engaging, challenging, entertaining and useful local media possible. We look forward to hearing from you!
