Week 11 Events Lets Go

Monday we have our coffee morning and production club!

On Thursday we have an assisted production workshop in anticipation of next term’s assisted production form! Here you’ll learn what we want from you and what we can give you. Definitely one to attend if you’re thinking about submitting a script next term.

What week are we on now??

Feeling the burnout from essays and upcoming exams? Me too. Lucky for you, we have our weekly coffee morning on Monday 10:00-11:00 in the Harmony Studio.

Thursday we have a storyboard workshop 16:00-17:00 in the Fitzgerald Chamber. In this workshop we’ll teach you all you need to know about storyboards to help you visualise your film!

Last but not least, maybe my most anticipated event this week, we have a collab with from 15:00-16:00 on Friday. Been eyeing a role? Want to act in one of our upcoming projects? You’ll need a headshot. Come and get one.

Week 7, nearly reading week hang in there!

Monday we have our weekly coffee morning and production club! You know the drill: show up, meet other creatives, get free coffee (or tea!). What more could you want?

Tuesday at 17:00 we have ANOTHER collab with (seriously love you guys)! This is creative talk in Newman theatre R

Wednesday we have one of our beloved annual film festivals, Halloween edition. Unfortunately we have lost our beloved village auditorium BUT we have gained science hub SCH1.37 (don’t worry if you have no idea where this is, I don’t either! BUT I will find it and post how to get there on our story on Wednesday!)

You thought the Halloween film festival was the only spooky themed event??? Think again. Thursday we are collaborating with and to bring you a seance AND film screening!

HALLOWEEN FILM FESTIVAL GET YOUR COSTUMES READY 👻

Unfortunately this year’s Halloween film festival will not be held in our beloved village auditorium (miss you babe 💔) but fear not! The science hub is just as nice! We may or may not have some sweet treats for those in costume and even better tricks for those not 🤭

Week 6 lets go girls

Our weekly Production Club and Coffee will be on Wednesday 11:00-12:00 in the Harmony Studio this week! At the beginning of our coffee morning we will be showing what are members have been working on. Whether it be a script draft, unedited scene or even just a mood-board, we want to see it! To submit there is a link in our bio!

On Thursday we are booked and busy! First off we have a collab with at 16:00-17:30 in the Fitzgerald Chamber! Join the audience to see Arts Soc’s take on “Are you Smarter than a Kindergartener?” while the UCTV crew film the event! Are you Smarter than an Arts Student? Come find out.

If you missed the last round of UCD Liver don’t worry! We have another round of UCD Liver with (love you guys) (love you too) at 17:00-19:50 in Newman A106!

Last but not least, with our annual Halloween Film Festival coming up soon (get those submissions in!!) we thought it fitting to do a horror workshop. Come along to Harmony Studio from 14:00-15:00 to learn all about filming, editing and sound production to make the perfect horror movie scene!

NEW MOVIE RELEASE

Up Here is a film made with the Assisted Production Form last year featuring a group of talented UCD Students and our connections from outside of the campus. The film initially released to the world in our 3rd Annual Film Festival! Now it’s on our Youtube channel which you will find in the link in our bio.

Here’s the logline:
“After coming home from work, a tired and worn down Ray finds himself clustered in the emotions he feels. The internal confrontation with his long time partner Max has reached a halt, and in a dizzying frenzy he comes to term with what it means”

The film was produced by UCD Student Emma Rozsa,
is directed and written by Antoine Uselle and stars Antoine Uselle and Leon Folan.

Week 5?? Already??? But don’t fear TVSoc is back with a week of events!

Production Club??? You know you want to be there. Monday. 12:00-14:00. Global Lounge. Even better you can now showcase whatever you’ve been working! Draft of a script, unedited cut or even just a mood-board you can now submit at the link in our bio!

Speaking of mood boards, we will be hosting a mood board workshop on Thursday! Our booking for this is TBC so keep an eye socials for the location! During this we will be creating mood boards to help bring to life and visualise your ideas and how you want your film to look 🎞️

Peacemaker Season 2 Finale Screening??? Watch Party???? What is Peacemaker??? Don’t ask me. Come to the screening and find out.

Finally I leave you with a reminder that our Halloween Film Festival is coming up soon!! The deadline for submissions is the 20th of October so don’t wait!!! Get those films in!!!
