Week 5?? Already??? But don’t fear TVSoc is back with a week of events!

Production Club??? You know you want to be there. Monday. 12:00-14:00. Global Lounge. Even better you can now showcase whatever you’ve been working! Draft of a script, unedited cut or even just a mood-board you can now submit at the link in our bio!

Speaking of mood boards, we will be hosting a mood board workshop on Thursday! Our booking for this is TBC so keep an eye socials for the location! During this we will be creating mood boards to help bring to life and visualise your ideas and how you want your film to look 🎞️

Peacemaker Season 2 Finale Screening??? Watch Party???? What is Peacemaker??? Don’t ask me. Come to the screening and find out.

Finally I leave you with a reminder that our Halloween Film Festival is coming up soon!! The deadline for submissions is the 20th of October so don’t wait!!! Get those films in!!!

The UCDTV Halloween Film Festival is back!

We want you to participate in our film festival! We're looking for short horror films (20 minutes or less) from student filmmakers who are ready to scare us. The festival is open to ALL students.. from ANY university! Giving you the chance to have your film screened in front of an audience in University Colege Dublin.

As most our committee have recovered from the dreaded freshers flu, we are back again with a packed week of events!

Our production club and coffee morning has moved to the Global Lounge from 12:00-13:00 on Tuesday! Join us for a chill morning coffee and chat with fellow creatives like yourself ☕️

On Friday we have our assisted production workshop! Here you can learn all about the process of making movies with UCDTV. We’ll be talking about what’s needed from you for the assisted production form and what you’ll get in return! This is also a great opportunity to network with other people who want to make movies, so even if you’re not interested in script writing or directing itself still come along 📸

Are you a UCD student? Do you want to make films?? Do you want assistance while still having 100% creative freedom??? Well you’re in luck.

UCDTV’s associate production form has just opened! From now until the 3rd of October you can submit a script for a short film (around 12 minutes long) and we will choose two of them to help make!

There are two versions of this form, the main one and the Fresher’s one. The Fresher’s one is aimed for newbies (of any year!) who are interested in dipping their toes in filmmaking.

This form only opens once a semester so don’t hesitate!!! Get those scripts in!!!!

WEEK 3 🙊

This week we’ve got a slightly less jam packed schedule so our committee can recuperate after a tiring freshers week (fresher flu is not for the weak… stay safe guys)

Starting off on Monday we have our weekly coffee morning! This is a fun and chill event where you can meet other filmmakers and chat! It will be taking place from 10am-12pm in the Arts Block (also known as the Newman Basement, freshers don’t be scared I promise it’s safe…ish)

Then on Tuesday we have a fun collab with and ! Pizza, pints and bingo??? What more could you ask for?? This event is at 8pm in Woodfire and Wings in Stillorgan

Speaking of committee… would you like to join our committee?? We have multiple roles up for offer including Freshers Rep, Event Officer, Workshop Coordinator and OCM. A post with more info and the link to apply will be made soon so keep an eye out if any of these pique your interest!

The events have begun!

On Monday, we are collaborating with Dramsoc and hosting a game of Jeopardy.
On Tuesday, we’re hosting a Letterboxd-themed speed dating event for our Freshers.
On Wednesday, we are showing off our portfolio of films over the years.
On Thursday, we are going to be creating animated mixed media pieces in our animation workshop.
And finally, on Friday from 11:00 we’ll be challenging ourselves to make movies on our phone!

When we say, we’re into filmmaking and content creation we don’t just mean we are just into high concept films made for a film festival circuit. Here’s a small collection of our committee for our 25/26 Session! More to come :)

As a UCD Society with a desire to foster the community of aspiring filmmakers, content creators and digital creatives in UCD, our committee comes with a pair of content leads, who will lead members through the production of student movies, an equipment officer who will keep a close eye at our equipment locker and a PRO, who will manage our social media presence during term!

Our committee includes aspiring actors, filmmakers and even the odd Youtuber so if you want to get involved, join us as we all have BIG THINGS COMING! 🔥🔥
