Christmas Eve in Cork City | Community Moment

While out in Cork City this Christmas Eve, Life FM met Louise McCarthy and the group Rhythm and Reeds, who were playing music in the city centre in support of Cork Simon.

Louise shared that every Christmas Eve, the group gives three to four hours of their time to support Cork Simon Community ,a charity very close to their hearts, helping people experiencing homelessness in Cork. Based in Glanmire and the city centre, the group simply wanted to give something back to the city.

Christmas Eve at Grace Church | Community Notice

Grace Church will be celebrating Christmas Eve with an evening of fellowship, worship, and celebration.
The evening begins at 7:00pm with chocolates and live Christmas carols in the entrance café, followed by the main Christmas Eve service from 7:30pm–8:30pm.
All are welcome to come along and celebrate the birth of Christ together.

Life FM 93.1 | Community Outreach — FeedCork at Cork Church

Life FM caught up with Ham Sirmans, Director of FeedCork, a ministry outreach based at Cork Church, serving families in the heart of Cork City.

This year, FeedCork partnered with One Arena Fitness for a Christmas toy drive, and the response has been overwhelming. Surrounded by donated toys, Ham shared that the team is preparing to deliver over 800 Christmas meals, along with toys for children, to families across Cork City.

The outreach is working alongside DEIS schools and other community partners to support families who need extra help during this season. Tomorrow, volunteers will be packing meals and toys and personally visiting families across the city to ensure no one is forgotten this Christmas.

This marks FeedCork’s third year, and each year the outreach continues to grow, reaching more families than before. Gratitude was expressed to everyone who contributed time, resources, and generosity to make this possible ,with plans already in place to do even more next year.

Life FM celebrates and supports initiatives that bring practical love, dignity, and hope to our communities.
