What looks “flat” in the 𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 isn’t a mistake, it’s the starting point 👌

𝗟𝗢𝗚 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 is intentionally captured 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 contrast or colour, so we have 𝗺𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 room to shape the mood in post-production.

This is where the 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 really comes alive;

𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁, 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘁𝗵, 𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲… all built layer by layer until the shot feels exactly how it should feel ✨

𝗕𝗧𝗦 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 📷

The whole editing process for a photo shoot like this takes hours, sometimes even days…

From selecting a few shots out of thousands of photos shot on the day, to colour correcting, masking each photo, and 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 👌

The trick to making the photos 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 is that they shouldn’t actually look too edited. They shouldn’t look like they have a filter.

Less is more definitely applies here.
