Been a while since I have updated but wanted to let you know I haven't abandoned the project. I have added a character that will appear in certain locations around the site that will explain the different areas as you walk around :) Here is a snippet of the character at the entrance :) Enjoy 🔊🔊 Volume Up 🔊🔊

When you download the app... go to the castle and open it this is what you see as you walk around on the site on your device :D No need to do anything ( except maybe reset on occasion ) You are free to walk around and into buildings that are no longer there :)

Hi all. I have had a wonderful response on this so thank you all for that 🙂 🥳 The whole idea of releasing it to people for testing was that I would get some feedback on it. All I wanted to know was how it worked on the castle site and any issues or any other feedback that you might have. So, for anyone who downloaded it ( almost 100 of you ) and those who went to the castle to test it out.. can you please please write to me about how it was ( did it crash, how did it look, how did you find the experience etc and anything else you wanted to add ) Thanks a million!

APP TESTERS REQUIRED!!!

I wanted to release my Trim castle app and get some people to test it out for me in exchange for some feedback 🤗

This is the link where you can download the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.VRX.TrimCastle2023c ** You need to be at Trim castle in order to use it and see anything **

What it is: A location based augmented reality (AR) app which means that you must be on the site (in this case Trim castle) to use it.

What it does: Basically, it gives you a 3d reconstruction of the grounds of the castle on your phone or tablet and allows you to explore what might have once been on the site and enter some of the buildings. I have attached some images of the app from my phone ( see images )

For now, it is only for certain Android phones with an Apple version coming soon. A list of devices it works on is attached.

So, if you or someone you know is heading to the castle and want to look at something other than foundations try it out :D

You will need to have internet access while at the castle.
