But then client work picked up.
Or your kid got sick.
Or you stared at the mic in your basket and thought…
“Feck this, I don’t even know what I’m doing.”

So the podcast idea gets pushed back. Again.

But the thing is, you’re brilliant at what you do.
You just don’t have the time, energy, or interest in figuring it all out.

I joined a Gaelic football team at 43!
(after never playing sports AT ALL when youth was on my side).

Now, I love joining things and I’m always on my own, but I was sh*ttin’ it.

Thought I’d be last picked, possibly needing a defibrillator after 5 mins, and limping for a week (I wasn’t wrong about the limping, that is still the case haha)

But genuinely?
One of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Fitness, yes.
But also fun. Friendships.
Letting off steam after sitting behind a laptop all day.

Running your own business is intense.
Football gives me the outlet I didn’t know I needed.

4 years in, here’s what I’ve learned, and I want to share it with you:

❤ If you get an opportunity to try something new, even if it seems scary, go for it. You won’t regret it - My motta has always been "Sure What Is The Worst That Could Happen"

❤ Life is hard sometimes. Find something that lets you let off steam.

❤ It’s amazing to have activities that have nothing to do with your family.

❤ And when you do start, and it’s Friday evening, and you’re wrecked after a long week, and you think “I’ll just skip training”?
Don’t. Go. Move your body. Have some laughs. It’s feckin’ great for your soul.

❓ What is the one thing I want the listener to walk away with?

❓ Will this episode make them feel seen or supported?

❓ Does this topic link back to something I offer or care about?

❓ Can I clearly title this in a way that makes them click?

If you can answer those honestly, your episode is worth recording.

“But what if no one listens?”, I get asked this all the time.

And it’s a fair question.

But honestly? If you speak about what matters to your audience, and you show up consistently, people will find you.

Here's somethings to remember:

You don’t need a massive audience.
You just need the right listeners.
One person saying “that helped me”? That’s the beginning of something great.

“I genuinely don’t know how I would’ve done it without her.”

That’s what Jenny said after we launched her podcast.

She had the idea. The vision. The message.

But like so many coaches, she was already maxed out.
