Very sad to learn about the passing of RTÉ’s Seán Rocks earlier today.

A long time friend of Red Shoe, whenever we went knocking with a new series, a new programme or film to promote, Seán was always so generous with his time. He was always so genuinely interested and would spent time discussing our projects, giving us his thoughtful feedback and welcoming us on to his programme, Arena.

Seán was a true champion of the arts and will be a huge loss not only to radio, but to the wider arts community. As Michael D Higgins said earlier today, he had a “deep, wide and supportive curiosity that he delivered from a rich insight into all aspects of the arts and culture”

A public service broadcaster in every sense, ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam 🕊️

After a whirlwind week we’re having a chance to reflect on the last few days of making connections, forging friendships and talking all things telly! 📺

What a wonderful trip to Galway Film Fleadh last week as part of the Screen Producers Ireland delegation where we had the opportunity to meet with Minister Patrick O'Donovan and share ideas and our vision for the future of tv and film production in Ireland. So much to be excited for and thank you to the Minster for giving his time so generously!

Great to catch up with all of our colleagues in the industry too

Due to poor conditions in Dungarvan Bay this morning and the forecast for the wind speed to increase, we have regrettably had to take the decision, on grounds of safety, to postpone our Annual Helvick Swim until July 20th.

As always, safety takes priority and we hope to see you in 2 weeks time 🛟
