“Woken”, will get its US cinema release on the 11th of July, the debut feature from none other than Westport’s own the first of many, no doubt! It will make its way over this neck of the woods soon!!!!

and I -Emer Durcan, were lucky enough to be brought onboard: Brian as Second Unit Cinematographer, and myself as Producer for the Pick-Ups Unit. It was a total joy to collaborate so closely with Alan and an amazing team of homegrown talent to help bring his vision to life.

Our Pick-Ups Unit rolled through the west of Ireland piecing together the final missing shots – led by Alan and featuring the wonderful and the brilliant as body double for none other than Erin Kellyman.

One especially meaningful memory for me is our Camera Assistant / Soldier body double, John O’Callaghan – a dear friend and fellow filmmaker who has since sadly passed away. John was studying film at Westport College of Further Education, and working on Woken was a dream come true for him. Like so many of us, he was chasing the magic of storytelling, and I’m so proud that his dream lives on through this film.

Huge thanks to Alan himself and to John at Fantastic Films for the opportunity – it truly kickstarted so much for us.

I know everyone who watches Woken will be challenged and enlightened. And for the Westport crew – you might justspot a few familiar childhood memories floating through the frame… 😉

I’ve probably said too much – just watch the film and you’ll see what I mean!

What a huge honor and surprise to win the EDA’s Producers Award tonight! 🎉 It’s incredibly meaningful to receive recognition for something I am deeply passionate about and thoroughly enjoyed bringing to life. A massive thank you to my talented collaborator, writer/director Michael Carolan, for sharing his wonderful talent and skill.

We want to take a moment to give a special shoutout to our incredible Writer/Director, Michael Carolan.

Michael’s visionary leadership and fearless creativity have been the driving force behind “Night Driver.” Without his guidance and inspiration, our team would not have had the opportunity to evolve and bring this story to life. Our incredibly talented Night Driver writer/director Michael Carolan was on The Today Show this morning on Virgin Media One, spreading the word about our film! 📺✨

Super excited to be strutting our stuff at the Virgin Media Discovers Screening at the Dublin International Film Festival today at the Light House Cinema, Smithfield!

Our film NIGHT DRIVER—written & directed by Michael Carolan, produced by Emer Durcan, and with cinematography by Cinematographer Brian Durcan—will be screening alongside three other incredible films from this amazing scheme.

A special shoutout to THE KNIFE by Joy Nesbit & produced by Grace Odomosu (Keeper Pictures)—a film that holds a special place in our hearts as it was also shot by our own super-talented Cinematographer Brian Durcan!

🚕 World Premiere Alert! 🎬

We’re thrilled to announce that Night Driver will have its world premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival on February 21st at The Lighthouse Cinema as part of the Virgin Media Discovers screenings — an initiative by Virgin Media and Screen Ireland.

Set in the heart of Dublin, Night Driver follows the compelling story of Ngozi, portrayed by the incredible Charis Agbonlahor. An African immigrant taxi driver and a woman of faith, Ngozi faces homelessness with her two children after the breakdown of her marriage. One fateful night, her dashcam captures a moment of infidelity involving famed fashion model Eve, played by the sensational Sophie Vavasseur. What follows is a gripping moral dilemma that will leave you questioning what you’d do when survival is on the line.

Buckle up and enjoy the ride because every fare has its price.
