We’re excited to announce that the Screen Wexford short film, Halted, is now available to view on YouTube. 🎬✨

Halted is a feel-good short documentary where four charismatic County Wexford Traveller people tell their personal stories and shed light onto the often overlooked aspects of Traveller culture.

Local filmmakers Rob Tyrrell and Jo Heffernan made the film in 2021/2022 with funding from our inaugural New Voices bursary, and with vital help from the Enniscorthy FDYS.

Halted has finished its festival run, which included screenings at the Galway Film Fleadh, Catalyst International Film Festival, and the London Irish Film Festival. Halted was also a key film in Screen Wexford’s own County Wexford Culture Night screening in 2022.

You can find Halted in the New Voices playlist on Screen Wexford’s official YouTube here:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLemo-qOEDDR822rIpRIXqnl-Y9k9DWl6N

We’ll be adding more films made under the New Voices scheme to the playlist as they become available. So watch this space for more developments.
