Becoming a mum made access to maternal healthcare feel far less like a statistic and far more personal 🤍

So much of the care we rely on during pregnancy, birth and those vulnerable early days is easy to take for granted simply because we expect it to be there.

We already know that investment in maternal healthcare works. Continuing that investment is a choice we can make, and a conversation worth having.

What’s one part of pregnancy, birth or newborn care that you didn’t realise you’d taken for granted until you became a parent?

Where a family lives shouldn’t determine the healthcare they can access 🤍

It’s easy to think of international development as something distant from our own lives. But behind every statistic is a family, and parents hoping for a safe pregnancy, a safe birth, and the opportunity to watch their children grow.

We know that investment in maternal and child health saves lives. The question is whether we continue choosing to make it a priority.

What kind of world do we want our children to grow up in?

Where you’re born shouldn’t determine whether you live or die

Becoming a mum has made me think so much more deeply about the things I once took for granted. Every parent deserves to feel confident that they’ll have the care and support they need to bring their baby safely into the world, no matter where they’re born.

Politics should not, and cannot, get in the way of our humanity. Share this with someone who believes every child deserves the same chance at life.
