She is a fantastic female pitbull x. She is a young adult now ready for a home to call her own. She came to us as a stray and we have found her to be a joy to have. She isn’t good with other animals so would need to be an only pet. She is gentle with people and doesn’t ask for a whole lot.

This morning on Give A Pet A Home with Kilcoole Vets We're chatting to Alex Shortt from Wicklow Animal Welfare about Keeko 😍

Keeko is staffie x two year old boy. If you’re looking for a good looking man with a sweet, gentle personality then this is your boy. Keeko needs an experienced home who can give him stability, structure and love. He is so affectionate.

Please don’t let misconceptions cloud your view of this boy. He is so lovely natured and gentle. We’d like keeko to have a garden to potter in, a home that understands the responsibility in taking in a big breed dog and someone who will treat him like the king he is. Kids teen plus.

This week on Give a pet a home with Wicklow Animal Welfare we speak to Alex to try and find a loving home for Zara 🏡 🐾 🧡

Zara is a 3 year old whippet x and a lady. Zara looks older and wiser than her years and has obviously been through a lot but has such a lovely nature and will happily snooze on a sofa after a walk and so deserves this new life ahead of her. She loves her runs in the field too so a good sprint and lots of recovery and relaxation is the life for her.

She loves attention and will give you a little boop for a few pats on the head. Zara can live with or without another dog. Kids 10+. Can live in a house or apartment but must be secure.

She is a beautiful 4 year old French bulldog. This little girl needs to be an only dog as other dogs stress her out. She loves people, walks and cuddles (And natural yogurt 😂).

This week on give a pet at home with we speak to Sally from to try and find Skinny Minnie a home and get an update on Nina. 🏡 🐾 ♥️

Skinny Minnie
Skinny Minnie is a resilient young cat who once lived outdoors and arrived at the shelter with a serious womb infection. As a semi-feral girl, she needed time to heal and learn to trust, but she’s blossomed beautifully.

Now about 11–12 months old, Minnie is lively, curious and ready to begin her new life with a loving forever family.

Our adoption fee is €100, which helps cover some of the veterinary costs, including neutering, first vaccination, worm and flea treatments and microchipping.

Minnie can be booked with €30 deposit and visited directly in our shelter by appointment or from 12:30-3:30 each Saturday without appointment. To book or make an appointment, text Adoption to 089 4588162.

This week on Give a pet a home with we speak to Sally from to try and find the lovely Nina a home 🏡 🐾 ❤️

Nina is a special girl who is incredibly resilient having fully recovered from a leg amputation and is already bouncing around on 3 legs. Not only bouncing but Nina is still able to do her zoomies in the garden! She is a one year old lurcher who is currently enjoying life in her foster home where she has been toilet-trained and has been taught some commands and how to play fetch. Nina gets along great with other dogs, is gentle with children and loves to socialise. We would like her forever home to have a safe garden for her morning zoomies and a cosy sunspot for the rest of her day. Nina’s Fosterer considers her to be a great companion and thinks she will be a super addition to any family.

Nina has been spayed and vaccinated, is microchipped 972274200607409, and has received the usual preventative flea/worm treatments. Nina is in the care of the Kildare & West Wicklow Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.’
