The Knesset passed a declaratory measure reinforcing Israeli sovereignty over Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley, territories captured in the 1967 Six-Day War, excluding East Jerusalem. The move, framed as affirming existing law labeling these areas as “temporary belligerent occupation,” sets a political and legislative precedent for deeper integration of the West Bank into Israel’s national framework.

Critics warn that this step could escalate tensions with Palestinian residents and strain relations with international allies. However, proponents, including pro-settlement lawmakers, argue it offers legal clarity and signals Israel’s readiness to formalize control over strategic border areas in the face of ongoing security challenges.

Avera Mengistu has been discharged from Ichilov Hospital on Tuesday, five months after being released from Hamas captivity. Mengistu, who was held in Gaza for over a decade after entering the Strip in 2014 due to mental distress, underwent intensive physical and psychiatric treatment at the hospital during his recovery.

His family expressed immense pride in his healing journey and extended gratitude to the hospital for its “humane and sensitive” care. Mengistu will now move into sheltered accommodation tailored to his needs. He expressed excitement for his next steps, and his family also thanked those who campaigned for his release and offered support.

In this episode of the ILTV News Podcast, host Maayan Hoffman speaks with evangelical leader Laurie Cardoza-Moore, president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations. Cardoza-Moore warns that Christians who do not support Israel risk divine judgment—and that America’s education system is fueling antisemitism from the ground up. She calls out media figures like Tucker Carlson and countries like Qatar for pushing anti-Israel narratives into U.S. classrooms. From textbook reform to spiritual mandates, this interview explores what’s at stake for Israel, America, and the future of Christian Zionism.

London Trans+ Pride ( ) has come under scrutiny after publicly stating that Zionism is not welcome at their events, listing it alongside racism, misogyny, and bigotry. In a follow-up statement, the organization asserted that Jewish people are welcome and that they oppose all forms of antisemitism, while also expressing support for Palestine and condemning Israel’s actions as “genocide” and “Zionist violence.”

Banning Zionism, an ideology tied to Jewish self-determination and cultural identity, effectively excludes many Jews from the space, even as the group claims to stand for liberation and inclusion while also failing to acknowledge the Israeli hostages still held by extremist Palestinian terror groups inside Gaza for 656 days.

A group of Israeli teenagers reported being attacked by an anti-Israel mob on the Greek island of Rhodes last night. The incident began outside a club, with the mob shouting and cursing at the 17-18 year olds. As the teens tried to leave, they were pursued by dozens of demonstrators.

One teen was able to avoid the mob by speaking Dutch, allowing others to escape. However, one Israeli teen was caught and suffered light injuries after being beaten, while two others managed to hide. The teens’ calls to the embassy and police initially resulted in delays, with police only arriving later to es**rt them. This attack occurred on the same day pro-Palestinian protesters blocked an Israeli cruise ship in Greece.

The family of Israeli hostage Rom Braslavski is desperately seeking information after Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) claimed to have lost contact with his captors. This unconfirmed report has left his family in agony, believing that “no one knows where Rom is, not the IDF and not Islamic Jihad.” They are urgently demanding a meeting with top Israeli officials to get a full picture of his condition.

Rom Braslavski, an IDF soldier, was abducted on October 7 after bravely helping others escape the Nova music festival. His last proof of life video in April showed him in dire physical and mental distress. His family’s pleas highlight the intense uncertainty and suffering endured by hostage families amid ongoing efforts to secure their loved ones’ return.

U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff is heading to Rome to meet with Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer on July 24 with plans to travel to Doha if there’s a breakthrough in Gaza ceasefire talks. The U.S. State Department confirmed that Israel and Hamas have tentatively agreed to a framework involving a humanitarian corridor, a 60-day ceasefire, and phased release of hostages. Washington is actively pushing for this to be finalized following Israeli concessions around IDF deployment in the Rafah–Khan Younis “Morag Corridor.”

Sources indicate that while Hamas leadership is still deliberating, U.S. pressure is mounting on both sides to reach an official agreement quickly. Israel insists all IDF and Hamas withdrawals must adhere to the ceasefire terms, while Qatar, Egypt, and the U.S. jointly urge Gaza’s governing officials to finalize the deal, warning their patience may be waning.
