27 JANUARY: The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Filipino community in Israel join the world in commemorating International Holocaust Memorial Day.
As the world honors the memory of the six millions Jews who perished in the Holocaust, we reaffirm our commitment to confront rising antisemitism and to ensure that such atrocities are never repeated. This year’s commemoration is especially meaningful as we join the Israeli people in welcoming home the the last hostage from Gaza, Ran Gvili, of blessed memory.
To mark this observance, the Embassy will hold commemorative activities remembering the Holocaust, including sharing the inspiring story of how President Manuel L. Quezon provided refuge to more than 1,300 Jewish refugees fleeing N**i persecution.
Now more than ever, we echo the promise: Never Again.
