The end of the war was reflected also in the preparation of Christmas sweets at the Saint Elias Hotel in Beit Sahour, where an entire village made of sugar and flour was created.

Arise and shine, O Bethlehem

The Municipality of Bethlehem launched the slogan “Arise and shine, O Bethlehem” during the Christmas tree lighting ceremony in the Square of the Basilica of the Nativity, on 6 December, after two years marked by war and the absence of pilgrims.
Under the patronage of the President of the Palestinian Authority, represented by Minister Dr. Ramzi Khoury, the event brought Bethlehem and its message back to the forefront: a call for peace to the world from the place where the Prince of Peace was born.
