A great joy and an honour to have Marcia Griffiths at the studio last saturday.. Still smiling about it! Such an amazing history of achievement, and for me- such a big part of my musical life. From her early trail blazing work with Bob Andy to her incredible catalogue of massive tunes and of course her amazing work with Bob Marley as one of the I-Threes- such a huge part of the sound of Bob Marley from the Rastaman Vibration album on.. The word 'legend' is overused but with Marcia….
Lovely session for the Uppercut Band's new record, really great and a very happy occasion. Just to hear her through the cans! A rare privilege..
Also great to see Trish of Roots Rockers Promotions - long time key person in the biz! And the late and very great Bob Andy's business partner and director of his UK company, Janis - who arrived exactly as we were done recording, Marcia walked out of the studio door and whooped with joy to see her! Beautiful moment.. ✨
