The Darori Foundation is by far the largest private donor of books to Academic, Municipal, Kibbutzim and special purpose libraries (AACI, Henry Koor) in Israel and South Africa. Its tops the three largest donations of books to the Tel Aviv Library System also the Hebrew University, Ben Gurion University. Municipal Libraries that have received over 2000 in the last 3 decades or more books incl
ude Raanana, Netanya,( 10K+) Jerusalem , Tel Aviv (10k+) , Ramla, Beit Aryeh-Ofarim . It is tragic that the inhibiting factor of many of these libraries of excepting further donations is space and lack of demand. If it means getting off your tuches ( Yiddish: backside) and going into a library to take out a classic 9 out 10 of people will give it a miss and read the "CliffNotes" instead. Until May 2013 , the Darori Foundation supported Libraries and Special Collections in Israel only. In June 2013 it started an initiative to support the initiative to give economically challenged kids in Israel an Internet Device The sticking point was that 93% of kids who received a device , could not afford the monthly cost of an ISP service. The Central Government must get off its backside and make WIFI available from Metuala to Eilat with high QOS. The Darori Foundation has in the past sponsored research into Digital Libraries and the translation of Wikipedia Articles ( and similar articles that do not claim a copy right) into Hebrew before Google Translate and Bing Translate made that product redundant..The translation project was led by the Ministry of Education in Israel The Darori Foundation financed dozens of translators.. The Darori Foundation has since 2001 sponsored up and coming artists around the world by buying their art. This is a joint project with the curators of major Israeli Art Exhibitions as advisers. The Foundation has a special interest in original children's book illustrations, collages that tell a story and narrative art .We particular like to sponsor artists whose art reflects their heritage ( indigenous art) . The Darori Foundation is currently sponsoring 37 artists at the moment. The Darori Foundation holds the 12 patents , trademarks and copyrights related to the Threshold Technology Curve Model. Since 2010 the 12 patents have been making a PCT circuit and have increased exponentially by a double digit number. The Darori Foundation also holds the trade mark "Darori","Stéphén Dǻrori" and "Thé Thréshǿld Téchnǿlǿgy Curvé Mǿdél "
The Darori Foundation is financed by a series of 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation Family Trust Funds and living Trusts..
