Punjab is facing its worst floods in decades, causing significant human and economic loss, with the death toll reaching at least 37, over 3.5 lakh people affected, and approximately 1.5 lakh hectares of standing crops damaged as of September 3, 2025.
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, 3 ਸਤੰਬਰ, 2025 ਤੱਕ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 37 ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ ਹੈ, 3.5 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਲਗਭਗ 1.5 ਲੱਖ ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਹੈ।
