Brahma Kumaris Celebrate Raksha Bandhan with 400 CRPF Personnel at ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ Event

The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment marked the fifth anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) with a special Raksha Bandhan celebration at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath. Sisters from the Brahma Kumaris tied rakhis to nearly 400 CRPF jawans and officers, reaffirming bonds of protection and a shared resolve for a drug-free India.

The event featured a mass pledge against drug use, administered by Hon’ble Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar, who underscored the need for united societal action to combat drug addiction.

Hon’ble Ministers of State for SJ&E, Shri Ramdas Athawale and Shri B.L. Verma, spoke on NMBA’s impact in reducing drug demand and highlighted the far-reaching social consequences of substance abuse.

Rajyogini BK Lakshmi Didi, Additional Coordinator, Medical Wing, Delhi Zone, Brahma Kumaris, explained the spiritual significance of Raksha Bandhan and urged all to renounce inner vices.

The IGP, CRPF, praised the combined efforts of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment in addressing drug abuse, reaffirming CRPF’s steadfast commitment to achieving a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
