$20 decillion i.e. $20,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

In an unprecedented legal action, a Moscow court has imposed a staggering $20 decillion fine on Google, amounting to a sum far beyond the world's GDP, as reported by The Telegraph.

This astronomical figure comes from Google’s decision to block certain Russian state-linked channels on its platforms, including YouTube, beginning with Tsargrad TV four years ago.
The decision to enforce such a substantial fine on the American tech giant is not only exceptional but has also sparked widespread attention in both legal and financial circles globally.

India with an abysmal score of 45.5 (out of 100) has been ranked 176th in the Global Nature Conservation Index, 2024. The country ranks as one of the five worst performers alongside Kiribati (180), Turkey (179), Iraq (178), and Micronesia (177) in the ranking of 180 countries released on October 24, 2024.

The NCI is developed by Goldman Sonnenfeldt School of Sustainability and Climate Change at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and BioDB.com, a non-profit website dedicated to maintaining biodiversity data.

Additionally, India is the fourth-largest illegal wildlife trader in the world, with annual sales worth around £15 billion, and so the index called for stronger enforcement and international cooperation.

50 flights operated by Indian airlines received bomb threats on Sunday, prompting heightened security measures at several airports across the country. The alarming rise in such threats has raised concerns about aviation safety.

In the past 14 days, over 350 flights operated by Indian carriers have received hoax bomb threats, most of which originated from social media platforms.

Akasa Air reported that 15 of its flights were subjected to security alerts on Sunday, but after thorough inspections, all aircraft were cleared for operations.

Additionally, IndiGo received bomb threat alerts for 18 flights, while Vistara faced similar threats for 17 flights.

In response to this surge in hoax threats, the IT Ministry has directed social media platforms to adhere to their due diligence obligations. They must promptly remove or disable access to any misinformation within the strict timelines prescribed under IT rules.

The civil aviation ministry is also considering legislative measures to combat the growing menace of hoax bomb threats targeting airlines, aiming to enhance safety protocols and deter such disruptive behaviours.
