🇮🇳 79th Independence Day… Today, the whole nation will celebrate freedom, wave the tricolour, and remember the sacrifices that made India independent.
But for us, the Chakma community, just 2 days later, comes a day wrapped in pain — 17th August, our Black Day.

Even today, I can still hear the roar of our ancestors demanding freedom… I can still feel the heartbreak when the Radcliffe Line was announced… when our dream of being part of India was snatched away and we were pushed into a land we never chose.

78 years have passed… yet the question burns the same —
Will our dream of becoming a rightful part of India remain a dream?
Or… are we going to fight till the last breath for it?
