FSSAI has initiated three separate adjudication cases against Nestlé India involving infant nutrition products. The regulator flagged certain promotional claims on NAN Excella Pro Stage 1 and Lactogen Pro 1, while a separate laboratory test found a follow-up formula non-conforming for its prescribed biotin content.

Nestlé India has disputed the concerns and said its products and labels comply with applicable regulations.

India’s demographic picture is changing as fertility rates fall below the replacement level. A new EAC-PM working paper has called for a rethink of population-control policies, including incentives linked to sterilisation and two-child norms.

The paper says India’s TFR stands at 1.9, while it is 1.6 when Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are excluded.

NFL star Travis Kelce, husband of Taylor Swift, has been identified as one of 64 victims in an alleged $35 million investment fraud scheme linked to Indian-origin businessman Siddharth Jawahar.

Jawahar has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison and ordered to pay $31.35 million in restitution. The amount Kelce invested or may have lost has not been disclosed.

A unique laddu-eating competition turned into a major crowd-puller at Gujarat’s famous Tarnetar Fair in Surendranagar.

With 28 participants aged between 25 and 75, the contest saw participants race to eat as many besan laddus with dal as possible in 30 minutes. After several contestants dropped out, Balvantbhai Raghvani of Ori village emerged as the winner, finishing 28 laddus in 30 minutes and taking home a cash prize of ₹2,000.

35 RTE admissions in Ahmedabad are under scrutiny after four schools flagged cases where parents’ reported incomes were above the ₹6 lakh eligibility limit. One case involved a family reporting a combined income of ₹27.16 lakh.

Parents will now get a chance to explain their income records as the DEO prepares to hear all 35 cases.

A suspected burglary attempt in Surat took an unexpected turn when the man trying to enter a locked NRI-owned house got trapped in its security grill.

The incident, reportedly from Nana Varachha's Rajaramnagar Society, was caught on video. The footage shows the man struggling to free himself as a crowd gathers around him. Police are now investigating the incident.
