What if objects could speak — not with words, but with presence?

079 Stories presents a compelling new group exhibition, “The Stillness That Spoke”, in Ahmedabad, featuring over 90 artworks by multiple artists. From multimedia on paper to sculptural and mixed-media forms, this thoughtfully curated collection invites viewers into a space of quiet intensity. Where stillness, texture, material, weight and scale create a contemplative experience beyond narration.

Artworks range from bold 47.5-inch formats to delicate 6-inch pieces, each crafted to hold space rather than fill it. Asking us to slow down, observe, and feel.
This isn’t just an art show. It’s a space where form, material, and emotion hold the room. A mood curated, not a message dictated.

A must-visit for those who don’t just view art, but listen to it.
This exhibition was opened on 25th July & will continue until 8th August, daily, 11 am to 7 pm at 📍079 | STORIES Art Gallery.

Ever noticed the tiny artworks on a 2-inch matchbox? Their vibrant colours and designs often depict buildings, lamps, fireworks, or simple ads. Though easily overlooked, they’re a quiet form of everyday art, waiting at a kitchen counter or tea stall for recognition and appreciation.

Because art, in every form, deserves to be seen and celebrated. It helps us connect, feel inspired, and recharge.

In that spirit, Ahmedabad Art Weekly | Edition 510 brings you a curated list of art shows and events happening in the city this weekend.

Moksh Reel Caption: Feathers of Ahmedabad: a gentle flight through adolescent wonder. With quiet patience, Moksh Desai, a 12th-grade student, captures nature’s gentle soul in his photographs, where sunlight dances on feathers and stillness tells a story.
From the blush of a red munia under morning haze to the poised elegance of a pond heron in still waters…
Every frame whispers the calm of cattle egrets, the curiosity of purple swamphens, and the grace of the red-wattled lapwing.

So, if you're a bird lover or someone who loves capturing them in frames, this show has something to inspire you. The exhibition has on display 40 pictures covering 13 commonly sighted birds in Ahmedabad. The show also co-incided with a coffee table book launch, on the same subject.
The photographs and the book are available on sale, all the proceeds Moksh has committed to use for bird awareness and supporting underpriviledged children's education.

Experience the Feathers of Ahmedabad at 📍 Amdavad ni gufa.
