Our station serves as a platform for empowerment, education, and engagement for the diverse communities of Gujarat. Launched with t

he vision of "Bringing Voices to the Airwaves", Radio Gujarat 88.4 focuses on promoting local culture, traditional knowledge, grassroots innovations, public health, environmental awareness, education, and inclusive development. We believe in amplifying the voices that often go unheard—farmers, women, youth, artisans, and the marginalised. What We Do:

The devastating floods in Punjab have left thousands of families struggling to rebuild their lives. Homes have been washed away, daily routines disrupted, and countless individuals are facing an uncertain future. Amidst this crisis, Drishti Foundation Trust, a more than decade-old Non-Profit Philanthropy Organization with Special Consultative Status from ECOSOC of the United Nations since 2017 and accreditation from UNEP, is working tirelessly on the ground to bring relief and restore hope.

Our volunteers are reaching the worst-affected areas, spreading smiles through compassion-driven action. We are providing Shelter Kits to families who have lost everything, ensuring they have the basic support needed to protect themselves and their loved ones. Beyond physical aid, our efforts are also about helping people revive emotionally from the deep pain caused by this disaster.

Drishti Foundation Trust has been at the forefront of initiatives in Health, Education, River Rejuvenation, Ocean Cleaning, Water Conservation, Pond Cleaning, Tree Plantation and Maintenance, Wildlife Protection, Disaster Management, Ecosystem Restoration, and Biodiversity Conservation across India. The floodwaters may have receded, but the struggle for normal life continues. Families are still coping with the aftermath, and among the most affected are children. For them, education has come to a standstill schools remain damaged, books and stationery are lost, and the routine of learning has been disrupted. When children miss school, they miss out on their future. This is where urgent action is needed.

Drishti Foundation Trust, a more than decade-old Non-Profit Philanthropy organization with Special Consultative Status from ECOSOC of the United Nations since 2017 and accreditation from UNEP, has always been committed to rebuilding lives with dignity. Our focus has been on Health, Education, Environment, River Rejuvenation, Water Conservation, Ocean and Pond Cleaning, Tree Plantation, Wildlife Protection, Disaster Management, and Biodiversity conservation across India.

With Special Consultative Status from ECOSOC of the United Nations (since 2017) and accreditation from UNEP, our Trust works actively across India in areas of health, education, river rejuvenation, ocean cleaning, water conservation, pond cleaning, tree plantation, wildlife protection, disaster management, and biodiversity conservation.

Right now, our focus is on the devastating Punjab floods, where thousands of families have lost their homes and livelihoods. The situation on the ground is critical, and relief is urgently needed. That is why Team Drishti Foundation Trust is working on a war footing, reaching out to affected areas and distributing Shelter Kits to those in need. Each kit provides essential items like tarpaulin sheets, ropes, mosquito nets, hygiene materials, sanitary pads, and buckets helping families create temporary shelter, protect health, and regain dignity in these difficult times.

In the aftermath of the devastating Punjab floods, thousands of families have lost their homes, livelihoods, and access to basic needs. Drishti Foundation Trust is actively on the ground in Amritsar District, providing essential shelter kits to affected families to ensure safety, dignity, and immediate relief. These kits are designed to help families survive the difficult conditions and start rebuilding their lives.

But our efforts don’t stop there. We understand that education is the foundation of hope. One of our key focus areas is marine conservation and ocean research. Oceans are the lifeline of our planet, and mangroves play a crucial role in maintaining marine and coastal ecosystems. These unique trees provide essential habitats for thousands of species, including fish, crabs, and migratory birds. They stabilize shorelines, prevent erosion, and protect communities from the impact of waves and storms. In an era of climate change, mangroves are nature’s defence system absorbing carbon, reducing flooding risks, and sustaining livelihoods.

With Special Consultative Status from ECOSOC of the United Nations (since 2017) and accreditation from UNEP, we continue to work across India in health, education, river rejuvenation, ocean cleaning, water conservation, pond cleaning, tree plantation, wildlife protection, disaster management, and biodiversity conservation.

Today, our efforts are focused on flood relief in Punjab, where thousands of families have been devastated. Our team is tirelessly visiting all affected areas, delivering shelter kits containing tarpaulins, hygiene supplies, mosquito nets, sanitary items, and other essentials. Though reaching remote areas is not easy, the smiles of relief and gratitude from families inspire our volunteers to go further and do more each day.

At the same time, Drishti Foundation Trust has already begun restoration of primary schools in flood-hit regions. Education cannot wait, and we believe that helping children return to their studies is as vital as rebuilding homes. Schools are not just places of learning but also spaces of hope, safety, and stability for children who have endured trauma.

We pledge to stay on the ground as long as it takes to support families, restore dignity, and rebuild communities. But we cannot do this alone.

Drishti Foundation Trust: Seed Ball Activity for a Greener Hyderabad

For more than a decade, Drishti Foundation Trust has been working on impactful initiatives that combine community participation with sustainable development. With Special Consultative Status from ECOSOC of the United Nations (since 2017) and accreditation from UNEP, our focus spans across health, education, river rejuvenation, ocean cleaning, water conservation, pond restoration, tree plantation, wildlife protection, disaster management, and biodiversity conservation.

At Drishti Foundation Trust, we strongly believe that community engagement is the foundation of lasting change. We encourage individuals, organizations, and society at large to actively participate in social welfare and environmental initiatives that contribute to the well-being of both people and nature.

In continuation of this mission, we recently organized a Seed Ball Making Activity at the corporate office of S&P Global in Hyderabad. The event witnessed overwhelming participation, with more than 280 volunteers coming together in a single day to prepare over 2,500 seed balls. These seed balls, made with native seeds and organic material, are a simple yet powerful tool to regenerate greenery, improve soil health, and restore biodiversity.

The prepared seed balls will be disbursed in various areas of Hyderabad city as part of our Green Hyderabad Initiative, contributing to cleaner air, more green cover, and a healthier environment for future generations.

Drishti Foundation Trust: Mangrove Plantation Drive in Diu

For over a decade, Drishti Foundation Trust has been leading meaningful, sustainable initiatives to create a better future for people and the planet. With Special Consultative Status from ECOSOC of the United Nations (since 2017) and accreditation from UNEP, we are committed to futuristic approaches that address pressing environmental and social challenges. Our initiatives span health, education, river rejuvenation, ocean cleaning, water conservation, pond restoration, tree plantation, wildlife protection, disaster management, and biodiversity conservation.

In continuation of this vision, Drishti Foundation Trust organized a Mangrove Plantation Drive in Diu under “Seva Saptah”. The activity was held at the Fudam Bird Sanctuary, a vital ecological site known for its rich biodiversity. With the enthusiastic support of more than 200 volunteers, including students from PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya School, we successfully planted 500 mangrove saplings.

Mangroves play a critical role in protecting coastlines, acting as natural barriers against floods and erosion, while also serving as nurseries for marine life and a haven for migratory birds. By engaging young students and volunteers, this initiative not only strengthened the environment but also spread awareness about the importance of conserving fragile ecosystems.

As part of our mission to strengthen ecosystems, Drishti Foundation Trust recently organized a Mangrove Plantation Drive in Diu. This initiative was conducted in collaboration with enthusiastic volunteers from the EDF Group and with the active participation of students from PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya School.

Mangroves are nature’s guardians protecting coastlines from erosion, reducing the impact of floods, storing carbon, and serving as a vital habitat for countless species. By planting mangroves, participants not only contributed to environmental restoration but also gained hands-on learning about the rich biodiversity of our country and the importance of conserving it for future generations.

Drishti Foundation Trust: Restoring Punjab’s Biodiversity After Floods

For over a decade, Drishti Foundation Trust has been working with a vision to protect people, nature, and the planet. With Special Consultative Status from ECOSOC of the United Nations (since 2017) and accreditation from UNEP, the Trust is actively engaged across India in health, education, river rejuvenation, ocean cleaning, water conservation, pond cleaning, tree plantation, wildlife protection, disaster management, and biodiversity conservation.

The devastating Punjab floods have not only destroyed homes and dreams but also severely damaged the delicate biodiversity and ecosystem. Floodwaters have uprooted trees, displaced wildlife, and degraded fertile soil, leaving behind a landscape in urgent need of restoration. Recognizing that rebuilding nature is as crucial as rebuilding lives, Drishti Foundation Trust has already begun preparations for long-term ecological recovery.

With the incredible support of more than 100 volunteers from S&P Global in Hyderabad, our team has prepared over 3,500 seed balls. These seed balls, made with native seeds and organic materials, will be dispersed in flood-affected areas to regenerate green cover, restore soil fertility, and bring back natural habitats for birds, insects, and other wildlife. This eco-friendly initiative not only revives biodiversity but also strengthens communities’ resilience against future climate challenges.
