Animation & Video Game Music Videos Are Still (Mostly) Awesome.
The internet is drowning in mediocre content—cheap animation, lazy game design, and music videos that look like they were edited by a sleep-deprived intern. But every now and then, something comes along that reminds me why I still bother sharing this stuff with you ungrateful heathens.
Remember when animation required talent and effort? Yeah, me too. But shockingly, some studios and indie artists still care. Whether it’s a jaw-dropping fight scene, a surreal music video, or a short film that hits you right in the emotions—real animation isn’t just moving pictures. It’s art.
Why do some game studios drop music videos that have no right being this good? Whether it’s a cinematic trailer, a fan-made AMV, or an official OST visualizer, the best ones make you feel something—even if it’s just the urge to replay a game for the 50th time.
Yeah, yeah, we all love throwbacks to the "good old days." But here’s the thing—some modern stuff actually pushes boundaries. New tech, fresh styles, and creators who aren’t afraid to take risks. So before you start ranting about "they don’t make ‘em like they used to," maybe look at what’s being made today.
I’m not sharing these clips for likes (okay, maybe a little). I’m sharing them because somewhere, an artist poured their soul into this. The least you can do is watch it, drop a "holy crap that was cool," and maybe—maybe—stop taking great animation for granted.
