Today, I had a wonderful meeting with Shri Veerendra Kumar Mishra IPS, Director, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. He is a Madhya Pradesh Cadre IPS officer, currently on deputation.

We have been connected since 2023, and it was a pleasure to meet him again. Over the years, he has always appreciated and encouraged my work in the field of child rights.

We had a detailed discussion on child trafficking, child protection - JJ act realated about SJPU and various issues concerning children. Shared him in detail about my work and future plans and got his advice.

Mishra sir has made remarkable contributions to child protection, both through his public service and his social initiatives. Through his NGO Samvedna, he has worked towards ensuring education and a better future for children from the Bediya community(Madhya Pradesh), helping many families break the cycle of exploitation. He is also author of several books, and his recent appointment to the Supreme Court’s Core Committee for preparing the SOP on missing children and child trafficking is a reflection of his commitment to this field, only officer to be appointed in this committee. I submitted a document containing some suggestions which I feel fit for the SOP.

The journey continues…

Today, I paid a courtesy visit to Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma Ji, Vice Chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), a State University established by the Government of Delhi.

It was a pleasure to reconnect and recall our previous interaction in 2023. During the meeting, we discussed various matters related to higher education, youth engagement, and my professional journey. I also had the opportunity to submit a proposal for the establishment of Cyber Digital Safety and Responsible AI Clubs across colleges affiliated with the University.

I am grateful for the detailed discussion on the proposal and for his valuable insights. Following our interaction, he facilitated meetings with senior university officials overseeing academic and administrative affairs, enabling further discussions on the initiative. I was encouraged to learn that the proposal may be considered for implementation through the National Service Scheme (NSS) framework of the University.

What continues to inspire me about Dr. Verma Ji is his humility, intellectual curiosity, and genuine interest in learning different Indian languages and cultures. I still remember being pleasantly surprised during our first meeting when he spoke a few words in Malayalam. Even today, he fondly spoke about Malayalam and Tamil, which once again left a lasting impression on me.

I met with the Hon’ble Minister for Social Welfare and Women Empowerment, Government of Tamil Nadu, Tmt. K. Jegadeshwari ji, to submit a detailed representation outlining key policy measures to strengthen the child protection framework across the state of TN.

The submission focuses on:
1. Proposed the establishment of Anti-Narcotic Clubs and Cyber Safety Clubs in schools. These forums aim to build systemic awareness regarding substance abuse, cyberbullying, online exploitation, and responsible digital behavior among students. It’s very important in current scenarios.

2. Proposed a centralized, data-driven dashboard integrating critical inter-departmental indicators. This system will track variables such as missing children, child trafficking, school dropouts, POCSO cases, child marriages, and infant mortality rates to facilitate real-time monitoring and coordinated policy interventions.
Also discussed a pending CCI matter.

Congratulations to Shri V D Satheesan Ji on assuming office as the Chief Minister of Kerala.

Wishing you a successful tenure dedicated to the progress, welfare, and inclusive development of the State.

Heartfelt congratulations to all the students who successfully passed the SSLC examination. This achievement is the result of your hard work, determination, and the support of your parents and teachers. Wishing each one of you a future filled with knowledge, courage, and meaningful success.

As you step into a new phase of life, always choose the right path even if it is the difficult one. The easier road may give temporary comfort, but the path built on honesty, discipline, and perseverance will make your success truly valuable and inclusive.

And to those who feel disappointed with the results, please remember that an examination can measure marks, but it can never measure your worth, talent, or future. Relax, rise again, and move forward with confidence. History has always been kinder to those who refused to give up. Many great journeys began after moments of failure.

My humble wishes and prayers to every student for a brighter, stronger, and successful future ahead.

My views were recently featured in The New Indian Express (Kerala edition) on the serious issue of missing migrant children in Kerala.

The report highlights a recurring concern that migrant children arriving in urban hubs, often separated from families, facing language barriers, and entering a system that struggles with inter-state coordination and structured tracking. Migration alone is not the problem. The real gap lies in monitoring, data consolidation, and institutional coordination at the ground level.

This concern is not new to me. In 2023, I filed a detailed representation before the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights pointing out systemic gaps in tracking migrant children and strengthening inter-departmental coordination.

After sustained follow-up, the Commission issued its order in June 2025 directing measures to strengthen the protection framework for migrant children, including improved coordination between Local Self Government Departments and District Child Protection Units (DCPU).

Migration patterns are changing rapidly. Our child protection systems must evolve accordingly through structured coordination, preventive monitoring, and accountability.

Child protection should not begin only after a child goes missing. It must begin with systems that ensure children are never lost in the first place.
