It was last year, just before the Chaturthi , that my dear mother passed away.
Chaturthi has come this year and a year had passed since she left us.
Seems like just yesterday that we lost her.
The memories that linger in our minds, the lovely days we spent as children with her as our mother and the things she did for us with happiness, taking up our lessons, driving us to various places and ensuring we get the best, will remain etched in our hearts and minds.
Fondly remembered by her friends even todate, it shows a sense of connect with a bond beyond mere friendship, which she did maintain with each and everyone she came across and in that quality, I can see a reflection of my late grandmother Alice de Noronha e Costa, fondly known as Chinona.
As we offer the First Death Anniversary Mass tomorrowr at 8 am at Holy Spirit Church, Margão, I request all my friends who are unable to make it to the Margão Church, to kindly whisper a prayer for her soul.
