Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik ordered a CID probe into the attack on state health and family welfare minister Naba Kishore Das who was shot at by a policeman in Jharsuguda district on Sunday. His condition is said to be very critical, according to people familiar with the development.

Weeks after a wall collapsed inside a shop in North Delhi’s Sadar Bazaar due to a blast, killing one of its employees and injuring others, a police probe has revealed that the explosion took place due to a packet of firecrackers.
The blast took place on January 7, leading to the collapse of a staircase and a side wall inside a shop at Sadar Bazaar. Indian Air Force fighter jets - a Sukhoi Su-30 and a Mirage 2000 - crashed during a training exercise earlier today, officials said on Saturday, resulting in the death of one pilot. While one aircraft crashed in Morena in Madhya Pradesh, the other is believed to have gone down 100 km away in Rajasthan's Bharatpur.
The Sukhoi had two pilots, while the Mirage had one pilot, defense sources said. Both aircraft are used on the frontlines by the Indian Air Force. The two pilots on the Sukhoi managed to eject and were taken to the hospital in a helicopter.

BENGALURU: A 14-year-old girl from a city school has set an Asian record for touching her nose with her tongue for the longest time. Devashree Amar Thokale's 22-minute feat has been recognised by the International Book of Records, Asia.
What started as a childhood fun gesture at the age of nine has won her multiple accolades, nationally and internationally. She bettered the Indian record of 8 minutes and the same has been recognised by Unique World Records, Globally Unique, and India Book of Records. The Asia Book of Records has given her 'Grand Master' certification and she also figures as world-record holder in the World Book of Records, London.
