I wish to bring to your kind notice the grave issue concerning the Primary Health Center (PHC) located in Srandoo Kulgam. The PHC is a three-storied building with modern infrastructure, and village serves as a hub for several surrounding villages. In spite of having such a well-established facility, the PHC presently lacks doctors, which has rendered the hospital practically non-functional.
The absence of doctors is a serious concern, as the local population is compelled to travel long distances to the District Hospital for even minor ailments. This not only places unnecessary pressure on the District Hospital but also causes immense hardship to villagers, especially women, children, and the elderly.
If the PHC is provided with adequate medical staff, particularly a child specialist and a women’s specialist, it will greatly benefit the entire area. It will also ensure that the investment made in creating this modern facility does not go to waste and serves the true purpose of public welfare.
I, therefore, request the administration to kindly look into the matter on priority and take appropriate measures to appoint the required medical staff in the Primary Health Center at the earliest.
Your prompt action in this regard will be highly appreciated by the people of this village as well as the adjoining areas.
