Rakib Ahmad Zia Extends Warm Greetings to Teachers on Teachers’ Day
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 04: Chairman, Zia Foundation J&K, Rakib Ahmad Zia, extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to teachers, educators and the entire teaching community on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, being celebrated on September 5.
In his message, Rakib Ahmad Zia said that Teachers’ Day is an occasion to acknowledge and honour the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives of students and building a responsible, educated and progressive society.
He said that teachers are not merely imparting academic knowledge but are also playing a vital role in developing character, discipline, critical thinking, values and a sense of responsibility among young people. “A good teacher has the ability to inspire students, identify their potential and guide them towards achieving their goals,” he said.
Rakib Ahmad Zia emphasised that the role of teachers has become even more significant in the present era of rapid technological and social change. He said that while technology has transformed the way knowledge is accessed, the guidance, mentorship and human values provided by teachers remain irreplaceable.
He appreciated the dedication and commitment of teachers working at all levels, particularly those serving in challenging circumstances and contributing towards the educational development of Jammu & Kashmir.
He further said that a strong education system is the foundation of a strong society and called for greater respect, support and recognition for the teaching community. He stressed the need to provide teachers with a conducive environment, modern resources and opportunities for professional development so that they can continue to nurture future generations effectively.
“Teachers shape not only the careers of students but also the character and destiny of society. Their contribution can never be measured merely in terms of classrooms, examinations or academic results,” Zia said.
On the occasion, Rakib Ahmad Zia conveyed his sincere gratitude to all teachers for their tireless efforts, patience and dedication, and prayed for their continued good health, happiness and success.
He also appealed to students to respect their teachers, value their guidance and remain committed to learning, discipline and personal development.
