🧑‍⚖️ J&K High Court Questions Job Reservation Policy

The Jammu & Kashmir High Court has asked the government to reply to a new petition against the current job reservation policy.

📌 What’s the issue?
A group of lawyers has filed a case saying that reserving 70% of government jobs for special categories and only 30% for others is unfair.

⚖️ Why are they against it?
They argue this goes against the J&K Reservation Act, 2004, and also violates the right to equality, as the reservation is more than what the population numbers justify.

🏛️ What did the Court do?
The High Court has allowed the petitioners to explain their side and has asked the government to give a proper reply.

👉 What’s next?
The case is now under review, and the court will decide after hearing both sides.
