✅ What Happened?

A huge crowd gathered outside Srinagar Central Jail to support Abdul Qadeer Khan, who was on trial for speaking against Dogra oppression.

When Zuhr prayer time came, a man stood to give Adhan (call to prayer).

Dogra soldiers shot him.

Another man stood up and was also shot.

This continued until 22 men were martyred, one after another, trying to complete the Adhan.

✅ Why It’s Important?

It marked the start of organized resistance against Dogra rule.

It symbolizes sacrifice, Islamic identity, and struggle for justice.

Sparked a new political awakening among Kashmiri Muslims.

✅ Current Observance

Earlier an official holiday in J&K.

Removed in 2020, but still remembered by the people with tributes and prayers.

The letter asks for the data to be provided "within two days positively."

🟨 Expected Date of Advertisement:
