Shocking Incident at GMC Anantnag: Family Alleges Gross Medical Negligence
A serious case of alleged medical negligence has emerged from GMC Anantnag, where a two-year-old child reportedly suffered a severe allergic reaction after being administered an antibiotic injection without a test dose. According to the family, they had specifically requested the doctors to give a test dose first, but their concerns were dismissed.
Soon after the injection, the child’s face began turning blue—signaling a dangerous reaction. In response, the doctors administered several injections but eventually told the family that the situation had gone beyond their control and referred the child to a hospital in Srinagar.
The family further alleges that when the child was shifted in the ambulance, no doctor or paramedical staff accompanied them. Only the ambulance driver and the child’s family were present during the critical transfer, leaving the child without any medical support on the way.
The family is demanding accountability and a thorough investigation into the incident, calling it a clear case of negligence and disregard for basic medical protocol
