Coconut Prices Rise to ₹70 in Goa

Coconut prices in Goa’s open markets have climbed to around ₹70 per piece, driven by increased festive demand.

The Agriculture Department and Goa State Horticulture Corporation are monitoring supplies and may intervene if prices rise further.

Officials say there is currently no shortage, as harvesting is still underway. Last year, continuous rainfall disrupted harvesting and contributed to supply shortages.
