Anjel Chakma was not asking for attention.
He was not provoking violence.
He was only standing up against racial abuse — for himself and his younger brother.
For that, he was stabbed to death.
Let that sink in.
In 2025, in our own country, a young Indian lost his life because some people couldn’t accept that someone from the Northeast is also Indian.
No Indian should ever have to prove their nationality.
No Indian should ever be targeted for their face, language, or ethnicity.
And no family should ever lose their child because of hate disguised as “casual racism.”
Racism is not an opinion.
Racial slurs are not jokes.
And silence is not neutrality — it is complicity.
The Northeast is not “other.”
The Northeast is not “different.”
The Northeast is India. 🇮🇳
Justice for Anjel Chakma is not just about one case —
it’s about confronting the everyday racism we’ve normalised for far too long.
