कनक भवन l Kanak Bhawan
कनक भवन अयोध्या के सबसे प्रसिद्ध, प्राचीन और भव्य मंदिरों में से एक हैं। इसे कनक भवन इसलिए कहा जाता हैं क्योंकि जब इसे सबसे पूर्व में माता कैकेयी द्वारा माता सीता जी को मुंह दिखाई में दिया गया था तब यह सोना का था। यह भगवान श्रीराम और माता सीता का निजी महल था।
वर्तमान स्वरूप का जीर्णोद्धार 1891 में ओरछा की महारानी वृषभानु कुँवारी के कहने पर ओरछा नरेश द्वारा कराया गया था।
इसके गर्भगृह में भगवान श्रीराम और माता सीता की बहुत ही सुंदर और भव्य तीन जोड़ी मूर्तियां स्थापित हैं, जो सोने के मुकुट से सुशोभित हैं।
Kanak Bhawan is one of the most famous, ancient, and magnificent temples in Ayodhya. It is named 'Kanak Bhawan' (meaning 'House of Gold') because, when it was originally gifted by Mother Kaikeyi to Mother Sita as a *Muh-Dikhai* (a traditional gift given upon first seeing the bride's face), the structure was made of gold. It served as the private palace of Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita.
The temple's current structure was renovated in 1891 by the King of Orchha, at the behest of Maharani Vrishbhanu Kumari of Orchha.
Its sanctum sanctorum houses three pairs of exquisitely beautiful and magnificent idols of Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita, all adorned with golden crowns.
