*Large Number of Prominent Citizens Join JKNC at Mendhar*
Mendhar, May 18: In a significant political development, a large number of respected citizens, retired officials, ex-servicemen, social activists and prominent personalities from Panchayat Nar, Balakote and Kasblari Lower today joined the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference in the presence of Zonal President and Minister, Javed Ahmed Rana.
The joining programme witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting growing public confidence in the leadership, policies and people-centric agenda of the party. The new entrants expressed satisfaction over the party’s commitment to peace, development and strengthening democratic values, and assured their active role in furthering its vision at the grassroots level.
From Panchayat Nar, Balakote, those who joined the party included Peer Fazal Shah, Sarfraaz Hussain, retired Sub-Inspector Mustaq Sahib, retired Sub-Inspector Khursheed Shah, retired Sub-Inspector Rashid Sahib, Habib Ullah Rehman Sahib, Ishtiaq Khan Sahib, Havildar Abdul Majeed Sahib, Sajad Hussain Shah, Sardar Zafeer Khan, Majid Khan (Social Activist), Muzaffar Hussain Shah, Karamat Khan, Shaukat Khan, Mohd. Akbar Khan, Arshad Khan, Moin Khan, Fazal Jatt, Shafiq Numberdar Baghyote and others.
Notably, Sardar Ashan Akram Khan, a prominent political activist known for his strong grassroots connect and public welfare work, also joined the party.
Similarly, from Kasblari Lower, Abdul Khaliq Bhatti, Mukhtar Hussain, Kashal Hussain (Ex-Serviceman), Haji Mohd. Sharif, Javid Iqbal, Haji Mahboob Hussain, Gulzar Hussain, Zahid Sadeeq, Mohd. Ismail Bhatti, Abdul Majeed, Abdul Hameed and several other respected residents formally joined the party.
Welcoming the new members, senior party leaders said that the increasing support from diverse sections of society reflects the party’s strong connect with the people and its sustained efforts for equitable development, particularly in far-flung and border areas. They reiterated their resolve to address public concerns, strengthen infrastructure, create employment opportunities for youth and ensure inclusive growth across all regions.
The new entrants reaffirmed their commitment to work collectively for peace, progress and prosperity under the banner of the National Conference.
