खाडीतील मासे एकदम चवीला असतात हे ऐकून होते पण त्याचा प्रत्यय या बेटावरच्या खाद्यसंस्कृतीचा आस्वाद घेताना आला. आणि सकाळी सकाळी संतोषकाका खाडीत जाळे टाकून मासेमारी करताना दिसले. गड नदीच्या खाडीत तांबोशी, बांदोशी, बोय, पेडवे असे अनेक मासे मिळतात. त्यादिवशी त्यांना बोय मिळाले. दुपारच्या जेवणाचा बेतच ठरला आणि ताजा ताजा फ्राय केलेला बोय पानात आला. गंमत म्हणजे पापलेटही फ्राय केला होता पण मला या बोय इतका आवडला की पापलेट सोडून मी बोय माश्यांचा मनसोक्त आस्वाद घेतला. काटे असतात थोडे पण एकदम चवीला आहे मासा. तुम्हाला कोणता आवडतो खाडीतला मासा comment मध्ये सांगा.

I had always heard that fish from the creeks taste exceptionally good, but I truly experienced it while enjoying the food culture on this island. 🌿🐟
Early in the morning, I saw Santosh Kaka casting his fishing net in the creek. In the Gad River creek, you can find many varieties of fish like Tamboshi, Bandoshi, Boy, and Pedve. That day, he caught Boy fish, and instantly the plan for lunch was decided.
Soon, freshly fried Boy fish was served on my plate. Interestingly, there was Pomfret fry as well, but I loved the Boy fish so much that I completely ignored the pomfret and enjoyed every bite of it.
It does have a few bones, but the taste is absolutely incredible! ✨
