We just got TWO more One Piece movies to look forward to.

ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY is officially set for 2027, followed by ONE PIECE FILM BAAD in 2029. The announcement only revealed the titles and release years for now, so there’s still a lot we don’t know.

God Valley is obviously the one that caught my attention first. That title alone has so much potential, especially with everything we’ve learned about the Rocks Pirates and the God Valley Incident.

In One Piece chapter 1191, Luffy isn’t magically erasing his injuries through pure imagination. He’s relying on the energy from the massive amount of food he ate to sustain Gear 5, while simply denying the pain and wounds so he can continue the battle. Once the form fades, he’ll be in critical condition and will need serious medical help.

Personally, I love this take. It makes Gear 5 feel more grounded and high-stakes instead of overpowered cartoon magic. The mix of pure willpower and Luffy’s classic “eat a ton then go crazy” style just fits his character perfectly.

Honestly, this feels like classic Oda mind games. He could’ve easily had that bombshell dropped in the Sun Realm, but he specifically dragged everyone into the Realm of the Dead first. That choice hits harder than it has any right to, almost like he’s tying “godhood” to death and the underworld on purpose.

Hajrudin just proved he’s not an easy target for Imu.

According to the Chapter 1191 spoilers, the giant manages to launch Imu away with his attack before Imu halts himself in mid-air and strikes back with “Omen.” Hajrudin, however, manages to block the attack thanks in part to his previous experience against Imu.

Could this experience become a major advantage for him?

Teach reaching Laugh Tale before Luffy would be such a nasty twist.

The theory comes from Gaban’s conversation with Shanks in Chapter 1169, where Gaban warns that the person everyone expects to rise to the top may not be the one who actually does. Fans have connected that line to Blackbeard, especially because Teach is one of the last people anyone expects to become Pirate King.

And if Oda really went there, Luffy’s victory over Teach would hit completely differently. Imagine finally reaching the end of the race and finding out your biggest rival got the crown first.

Then Luffy has to take it from him.

LEGO Kaido is built different.

A fan-made MOC by lavishlump turns Kaido into a massive minifigure-scale figure with double-jointed shoulders, poseable arms, and even a poseable cape. The builder said getting the cape’s wavy texture right with LEGO ball joints was one of the hardest parts of the build.

And the fact that the cape moves too is such a nice touch. Kaido already has one of those designs that could look ridiculous in LEGO if the proportions were off, but this actually captures his massive presence pretty well.

Now I’m just wondering how long it’ll take before someone builds his dragon form.

Luffy’s Nika powers just got even crazier.

Chapter 1190 shows Luffy telling his body to heal after suffering devastating wounds during his battle with Imu. He had been left with two serious wounds in his chest, yet he managed to recover enough to get back into the fight.

What really stands out is how casually Luffy does it. He basically tells his body to hurry up and heal because he still has a fight to finish. If Nika’s imagination really is allowing him to influence his own recovery, the limits of Gear 5 are getting harder and harder to define.

How far do you think Oda can take Nika’s powers?

Muramasa being an actual sword in One Piece was already crazy. Then Oda gave us Honebami Toshiro.

The blade was revealed in Chapter 1190 and is described as a “bone-eating sword.” That sounds like pure folklore nonsense until you see what happened to Gaban.

What makes Imu especially dangerous is the sheer variety of weapons at his disposal. The Kitetsu blades used to feel like the main source of cursed-sword lore in One Piece, and now we’re suddenly dealing with legendary weapons tied to the founders of the World Government.

There’s no way Oda introduced all of these just for background decoration.

Scopper Gaban’s performance against Imu just made his prime version look terrifying.

Chapter 1190 showed an old and injured Gaban fighting Imu, whose Haki is implied to be far beyond what Gaban experienced from Imu at God Valley. Despite that, Gaban was still able to stand his ground and land a serious wound before eventually losing the fight.

That’s the part that makes this so interesting. We’ve spent years hearing about Roger, Whitebeard, Garp, Rayleigh, and Rocks, while Gaban was usually treated like the forgotten member of that generation. Seeing him perform like this while past his prime really puts his old “monster” reputation into perspective.

Prime Gaban might have been an absolute nightmare.

Gaban just gave Luffy another reason to take this fight personally.

After saving Luffy from Imu, Gaban was left without his left arm. Luffy saw it happen, and now he has to face the same enemy that nearly killed him before.

The interesting part is the timing. Luffy has been fighting Imu in Gear 5, but Gaban’s sacrifice gives him a completely different reason to push himself. If Oda wants to introduce another stage of Nika’s power, this is about as strong a setup as you can get.

And if Luffy finally fights Imu without holding anything back, we could be looking at a very different version of Gear 5.
